Not Good

Why do we use the phrase “not good”? Although there are certain times we say something is “not good” in a humorous fashion, all to often it is because we do not want to say it bluntly: “It is Bad” or “It is evil”. If the reason is to truly not hurt someone’s feelings I suppose it is a nobel thing. But how often would the truth be better? Often we are not willing to call something bad or evil for fear of PC police invading our home. Think about it next time you use the phrase “not good”. If it is true say it in love.
