You know Taxes are to high - Part 1
My wife and I recently bought a new home and we were excited at the prospect of cheaper energy bills thanks to the integrated solar panels. It is one of those systems that sells back excess energy to the city utilities (makes the meter run backwards). Sure enough the first month bill came in and we paid only a few dollars. But at closer examination the real winner here is the government because of taxes. For the month of April we produce more energy then we consumed resulting in us selling more then we bought. But because of taxes and fees we actually had to pay the government for the right to give the government energy! In turn the city sold this excess energy to others. Only the state can take money from its citizens for performing a good deed like being green.
