Global Warming: Not the End of the World as We Know It

Nice to see a story come out of Europe that is willing to give alternative thoughts contrary to the activist environmental movement. This does raise the question of why there is such a disproportionate number of stories that tell us the negative consequences to a warmer world? Certainly there are some. Nobody, for instance, complains about the warmth and incredible agricultural productivity here in California.
Generally well written and certainly different, I do have to disagree with the assertion that environmentalists appeared in the 1980s to drive the global warming alarm. The 1970s, where we were told a new ice age was coming because of pollution, was filled with environmentalism. Could we escape the warning klaxon with regard to acid rain? Silent Spring, written by Rachel Carson, was written in 1962.
