Renowned Environmentalist Calls Biofuels ‘Crime Against Humanity’

From NewsBusters:
Renowned Environmentalist Calls Biofuels ‘Crime Against Humanity’

The British Guardian contained Monbiot’s harshest criticisms to date for this supposedly eco-friendly source of energy that global warming obsessed media in America dare not share with the citizenry (emphasis added throughout)

It doesn’t get madder than this. Swaziland is in the grip of a famine and receiving emergency food aid. Forty per cent of its people are facing acute food shortages. So what has the government decided to export? Biofuel made from one of its staple crops, cassava. The government has allocated several thousand hectares of farmland to ethanol production in the district of Lavumisa, which happens to be the place worst hit by drought. It would surely be quicker and more humane to refine the Swazi people and put them in our tanks.

Liberal Statism

Mike Adams has a nice piece over at Townhall about the real direction of liberalism in our country. I would submit other examples such the so called Fairness Doctrine. If you believe that radio free speech should be controlled by the state and that all other media outlets (mostly liberal) should not then you are a statist.

The ‘Social Web Browser’ Flock Hits Primetime

Flock icon

Just released, Flock promises to give a Browser experience that integrates social browsing. Tools and services such as Twitter, Facebook, and Wordpress become “integrated” services to the browser. The Browser is based on the same engine as Firefox and should render with similar results (your mileage may vary).

I downloaded and have done the 30 minute test. You will see additional items in the side bar for things like favorites, services, feeds, and media upload. For the most part it seems to work. I tested using a few Firefox add-ons that I can not live without such as foxmarks and Stumble. On my second setup the foxmarks add-on did not work properly. Wired indicated issues with other add-ons as well. I was able to use the media browser and media upload feature and both are nice additions. Again I had about some issues with this on my second install.

This Wordpress post is from the blog tool. To bad I could not add images.

Overall impression is that it is worth a try if you make use of many Web 2.0 services, but it is a 1.0 product.

lgf: Islamic Threat Posted at YouTube, YouTube Takes No Action

Allen Craig

Youtube again protects Jihad…

British councilor Alan Craig, a vocal opponent of the “mega mosque” planned to be built near the site of the 2012 Olympics, has received a nasty threat via the terrorists’ favorite video-sharing network, YouTube: Opponent of ‘mega-mosque’ receives chilling death threat on YouTube.

Despite the appearance of this article in the Daily Mail newspaper, the threat remains posted at YouTube: YouTube - In memory of Councillor Alan Craig.

And the self-professed jihadi who created the video also still has his account: YouTube - abdullah1425.

Small Victory for Justice

Today, our friend, former Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Convertino, was acquitted on all charges–Trumped Up Charges–contained in a politically-motivated, baseless, and terrorist-pandering federal indictment against him. Readers of this site know Ive been writing about Rick and his fight against Islamic terrorism and the Justice Department that loves Islamofascism since 2003, when I first wrote of his situation in a New York Post column. And Ive been writing about the Federal attempt to mob-lynch him, ever since.

In yet another deserved defeat for the “Justice” Department and FOUR years of wasted time and resources and hurt lives Convertinos, his familys, his co-defendant Ray Smiths, etc., the jury took little time after beginning jury deliberations today to acquit Convertino. Its an incredible loss for the government, a huge win for America.

Also read about a victory against crazies that claim to be Christians. This is not the Jesus I know.

This is an incredible story of our justice system on the wrong side, again. As Debbie Schlussel reports…

The need for a Separation of Crack and State

San Francisco Drug user

San Francisco continues to lower the bar in an attempt to proudly become the modern day equivalent to Sodom and Gomorrah. The City of San Francisco is currently exploring the possibility to open the nation’s first legal safe-injection room. The AP story reports that the rooms would be modeled on a similar system in Vancouver that is…

“…exempt from federal drug laws so users can visit without fear of arrest, has 12 private booths where addicts inject drugs such as heroin, cocaine or crystal. They can use equipment and techniques provided by the staff..”

This all comes from a Government that interprets the Constitution to mean Christians can not practice their faith publicly, let alone receive government funding. I agree that the U.S. Government should not provide funding for any religion (unless the religion is Islam), but it should at the same time allow the free exercise of it by the people. As crazy as it sounds the Government wants to support hard core drug use, even assisting, while going nuts to stop a Christian from mentioning God at a commencement speech. I think it is time for a separation of Liberals and State.
